This site is dedicated to information related to the BBQ Fundraiser for BSA Troop 205 in Rock Hill SC. We will cook on Friday October 14th, and you pick up your BBQ on Saturday October 15th our at Westminster Park.
Our primary product is 1 lb BBQ Pork. We slow cook this over a combination of wood and gas grills and we blend the pork together at processing for a more unified product. Also while processing the pork we sauce it with our own Eastern NC Style Vinegar based sauce.
If pork is not your thing we are planning on a limited supply of 1 lb BBQ Turkey. Instead of chopped the turkey will be pulled and instead of sauced during processing the turkey needs to be sauced more frequently during the cooking process to ensure a tender juicy result.
The 2011 – 2012 season is the first time we’ve done a BBQ fundraiser this way. The pit master is Trent Player with Jason Jones as his right hand man. We’re planning on about cooking about 2,000 lbs of pork and no more than 300 lbs of turkey. The troop needs a new trailer and to refresh some well used tents and other camp essentials.
